Initial Thinking

I think there are two problems we need to face: first is I-95 and the other is the piers' relationship to the city. So I began to go around Philly to catch some feelings.

initial research

I've started to identify piers I'm interested in working with. They are all identified as "park" or "open space" on the master plan and seem like there are a variety of different conditions to work with!

also another one to watch is Chicago's Navy Pier Competition (http://www.navypiervision.com). the shortlist is down to 5 teams, and they are whittling them down as we speak!
